Ronan Boland has been active in Dublin's music scene for as long as he was legally allowed, starting with his band Angular Hank alongside other local artists like Passersby and Zizou. He also curated the 'Follain' exhibition series, featuring up to 20 artists from various disciplines showcasing their work in independent spaces throughout Dublin.
During the Covid pandemic, Ronan acquired Ireland’s largest second-hand vinyl record shop, which limited his ability to share his work in person as frequently. Despite this, he has continued to refine his craft, as demonstrated by his two singles, "The Country" and "Elf," released this year. These tracks blend the intricate structure and melodies of a singer-songwriter with the raw, janky tones of 90s alt-rock. While dynamic on their own, they offer just a glimpse of Ronan's debut album, I Don't Want To Go Anywhere, released on December 23rd, 2023.
