Distant is a five-piece shed rock band from North Dublin. Formed in late 2019, and beginning writing throughout lockdown. Following this they jumped in on the resurgence of live shows, playing at some of Dublin’s favourite venues, including The Sound House, The Workman's Cellar and Main Room, The Grand Social, Whelans and Bello Bar, making a name for themselves in the process for their laid back but focused stage presence and dissonant sound. Following the re-release of fan favourites, ‘When The Time Came’ and ‘At Midnight’ as well as their most recent track ‘You Probably Won’t Die’ Distant has established their ability to craft catchy and memorable songs that are full of character. The sound continues to evolve and grow, and what lies ahead promises to be more compelling And impactful building on the bands work up to this point as well as better capturing their live sound, which is ever-changing. Distant are Senan Atkinson, Conal Mahony, Conor O’Driscoll, Henrik Brazel and Matthew “Moe” Eustace.
